Promoting Trade and Investment between Pakistan and the United Kingdom
A delegation from the UK, comprising prominent companies are visiting the 5th International Textile & Leather Exhibition (TEXPO 2024) Dr. Jeanette Forbes, the designated trade ambassador to Pakistan from the Scottish Chambers of Commerce shall also be present. Availing this opportunity Pak-UK Business Council (FPCCI) in collaboration with Mr. Owais Hussain Farooqi Trade and Commercial Attaché - Consulate of Pakistan in Manchester are organizing B2B meetings on the sidelines of the event. These meetings will provide an excellent platform to explore potential business collaborations, exchange ideas, and foster meaningful partnerships.
PUKBC – FPCCI is honored to welcome the senior delegates from Robert Gordon University of Scotland along with Dr. Jeanette Forbes OBE – Ambassador for Scottish Chambers of Commerce to Pakistan on their visit to Pakistan for the enhancement of opportunities and mutual growth in educational sector for a global exchange of ideas and explore new avenues for cooperation and enhancement of bilateralism.
Ms. Rosie Glazebrook, Chief Executive of Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council (CWEIC), will visit Pakistan to discuss the business, investment and trade opportunities among the commonwealth nations and its relevance to Pakistan. CWEIC has a mandate from the Commonwealth Heads of Government to promote trade and investments in the Commonwealth.
Pakistan UK Business Council – FPCCI to host meeting with LUMS Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ali Cheema and Director of Advancement, Ms. Nuzhat Kamran at the FPCCI headquarters in Karachi, to deliberate a groundbreaking collaboration between Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), that aims to pave the way for innovative solutions, research, and development in Pakistan.
In continuation of the strategic understanding between SCC and PUKBC, Dr. Jeanette Forbes OBE, Designated Ambassador for Scottish Chambers of Commerce for Pakistan, will be visiting to open new avenues of collaboration for trade and joint ventures on both sides. The visit will include various engagements with businesses, umbrella organizations, academic institutions and the public sector.
PUKBC- FPCCI) hosted an incoming delegation from UK facilitated by the Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC) for participation in the IDEAS-2024 Defence Exhibition taking place in Karachi. The delegation was headed by Mr. John Tucknott CMG MBE (Chairman PBBC and Former British Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan) and Mr. Rashid Iqbal (CEO PBBC) along with other delegates. PUKBC Chair Mr. Imran Khalil Naseer welcomed the delegates and briefed the attendees about the visit. SVP FPCCI Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon chaired the meeting and highlighted the strong trade ties between Pakistan and the UK along with key areas for future cooperation. Mr. Tucknott and Mr. Rashid expressed their thoughts about various opportunities and insights related to the fields of education, information technology, food & beverage and defense.
